Five Classic Drake Moments

Drake is turning 28 today. To celebrate the Canadian rapper’s birthday we selected five classic Drake moments throughout his carreer.

1. Almost getting a Grammy off of a mixtape

So Far Gone was Drake’s introduction to the rap game. Some would say it’s the mixtape that started it all. As a matter of fact, everyone would say that. He was               nominated for a Grammy for Best Rap Song for one of the mixtape singles, Best I Ever Had.

2.  YOLO

The Motto was a bonus track on Drake’s sophomore album Take Care. On this track, Drake uses the word YOLO which is short for You Only Live Once. YOLO         was recognized by the Oxford Online Dictionary in August 2014. Drake added a word to the English lexicon. WHAT DID YOU EVER DO?

3. Using footage from his actual Bar Mitzvah in a music video

HYFR was one of the singles from Drake’s sophomore studio album Take Care. The music video which followed the plot of Drake’s re-committal to the Jewish faith started with real footage of an adorable little Drake dancing at his Bar Mitzvah.

4. Airballing a three-pointer at Kentucky’s Big Blue Madness event

Drizzy was on court with the University of Kentucky basketball team doing a little pre game shoot-around before a preseason game. Unfortunately for him, ESPN’s camera caught him at the worst possible moment — when he was completely air balling a three-pointer. Guess he’s not really ‘Steph Curry with the shot’ after all.

5. Wearing a disguise and asking people what they thought about him

Drake dressed up as a news correspondent for Jimmy Kimmel‘s Lie Witness News and asked people on the street what they thought about him. The responses and reactions were pretty hilarious.
