Hitting the top 3 on The Billboard Charts for his ninth studio album, Paperwork, T.I. recently took part in Elliott Wilson’s #CRWN series. During their sit-down the King of Atlanta spoke on how he made his latest release stand out from his previous eight albums.

Whenever I listen to everything that’s going on, that tells me exactly what not to do.  Whenever I hear this is what everyone else is doing, this is the lane they’re going down I make a conscious effort to go the opposite direction. I can sprinkle little elements of it in here and there.”

He also discussed his relationship with Pharrell, working with Young Thug, discovering Iggy Azeala, the current state of hip hop, the beginning days of his carreer, his role in the movie ATL, recording his third album, Urban Legend, while he was on house arrest and much more .
