Joey Bada$$ has unveiled a new video for the BJ The Chicago Kid-assisted track Like Me, which he premiered on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon back in January. In the wake of the deaths of Michael Brown, Trayvon Martin and numerous others the young rapper touches on police brutality against unarmed black men.
Directed by Nathan R. Smith, the cinematic video trails Joey as he rescues a young lady from a disfunctional relationship. He befriends her only for her jealous lover to seek revenge against the both of them. The girl’s ex-lover strikes back after the two evoke a buzzing romance by pulling a revolver and shooting his ex-girlfriend. Joey is able to escape but later falls victim to authorities, as they gun him down without seeking answers. You can watch all of the drama unfold below.
