Kwabs Covers Blackstreet’s ‘Don’t Leave Me’

Recently, the R&B group Blackstreet, very popular in the nineties, experienced an unexpected career resurgence thanks to a ‘No Diggity’ performance in the a cappella film ‘Pitch Perfect’. When R&B’s latest revelation Kwabs took to the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, he decided to tackle one of the group’s other well-known songs ‘Don’t Leave Me’. He scales the song back a bit, giving it more of an organic feel and harmonizing with a female backup singer. Honestly, if you put Kwabs on stage with Blackstreet even today, no one would question a thing. It makes that much sense. Check out the cover after the jump:
