The Alexander Wang x H&M collection made its highly anticipated runway debut at the launch event in New York City last night. The performance wear-inspired collection was presented on a futuristic racetrack runway, where a group of free runners used the set for a parkour performance kicking off the show. Performances by the likes of Jesse Marco, Diplo and Missy Elliot kept the crowd alive and kicking throughout the presentation.
To stay in the whole sports theme, waiters passed out popcorn, beer and stadium-style foam fingers (actually foam boxing gloves) to a crowd that included Mary J. Blige, Solange Knowles, Justin Theroux, Dakota Fanning and Belgian model/longtime Wang favorite Hanne Gaby Odiele. A live stream was hosted on both the H&M and Alexander Wang websites for those who couldn’t witness the spectacle in person. The collection will be available starting November 6 in 250 H&M stores worldwide and online. Until then, check out the video recap and some snapshots of the Alexander Wang x H&M runway debut in New York below.
