In what has become an annual tradition, Black History Month is celebrated by Nike through an upcoming collection of footwear from some of its signature athletes. Encompassing basketball, football, running, soccer and skateboarding, the 2015 Black History Month Collection includes 28 items – 12 shoes & 16 complimentary apparel/accessories to match – all of which are from Nike and Jordan Brand.
In addition, the commemorative range pulls inspiration from the courage and determination of six athletes/coaches: Theotis Beasley (Skateboarding), Kevin-Prince Boateng (Soccer), Jerry Rice (Football), Brianna Rollins (Track and Field), C. Vivian Stringer (Basketball) and John Thompson (Basketball).
Watch for the entire collection to drop on January 17 through Nike Store and select retailers. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Ever Higher Fund organization to help underserved youth.
