Art imitates life in the powerful and somber video for Jhené Aiko’s Eternal Sunshine off her debut album Souled Out. The Los Angeles-based songstress reflects on a near-death experience she had in 2013 when she was in a car accident along with her daughter Namiko, sister Miyoko, and Namiko’s father O’Ryan. Aiko‘s face is front and center while in the background we see the aftermath of an accident with flashback clips from her childhood, her daughter, and her brother Miyagi, who died of cancer in 2012 and who the video is dedicated to.
