Yesterday Kanye West took over New York Fashion Week as he unveiled the Spring/Summer 2016 installment of his Yeezy project. The Yeezy aesthetic remains largely unchanged. A troupe of models marched down the presentation space in distressed garments which sported a palette similar to YEEZY Season 1. Menswear silhouettes were greatly exaggerated and oversized, hems were left raw and unfinished, and looks were heavily layered to further the post-apocalyptic vibe ‘Ye’s garments tend to have. Footwear-wise, we saw new colorways of the Yeezy 750 Boost sneaker and 950 duck boot alongside high-heeled women’s shoes.
