Kanye West‘s new album The Life Of Pablo is dropping later today but Hot 97 radio personality Ebro Darden was invited to the TLOP listening party which took place on Tuesday and shared some details about the project.

Ebro revealed there was a line on the album clowning Ray J — the former lover of his wife and co-star in Kim Kardashian‘s sex tape. He said Kanye said something along the lines of: “Me and Ray J would probably be friends if we wasn’t in love with the same bitch/You might have hit it first but I’m rich!” Classic Kanye!

Production-wise, he said the album is “more melodic” than Yeezus was but that it’s a combination of everything we like about Kanye West. Soul samples, politically charged jargon and all. Sonically, it’s a “journey of all of his work.”

Ebro was intentionally vague, because he didn’t want to ruin whatever hype may come with the album but rather build the hype. Peep the full conversation below.
