Earlier this week muslims all over the world celebrated Eid, the end of the holy ninth month of the Islamic calendar. Antwerp-based creatives Eloi Nsanzabandi & Aäron Beyers decided to focus on the fashion aspect of this yearly event and took to a local mosque in Borgerhout, Antwerp. “We were fascinated by the mix of cultures that this day brings out in such a unique way”, the duo explains. “We found dozens of beautiful people in colourful outfits, but most importantly, we found people proud to wear this traditional African clothing, proud of their religion, roots and heritage.” Check out the editorial below.
