Earlier this month Chicago-based rapper Mick Jenkins unveiled that he’ll be releasing his new album The Healing Component on September 23. Now, the first video from the forthcoming project is here. The visual for Drowning finds the emcee playing a runaway slave. Jenkins submerges himself in a river as he sings I can’t breathe, before rising to the surface and flipping the script.
