Five Belgian Acts You Can’t Miss At Fire Is Gold

It’s that time of the year again. Festival season is here and we couldn’t be more excited. Last year marked the first edition of Fire Is Gold, Belgium’s first urban festival. This year the people behind the festival are back with another dope line up. One of the things we love about Fire Is Gold is that there is always a strong focus on our Belgian urban scene and dope artists. That’s why we decided to make a list of some Belgian acts that you definitely don’t want to miss.

Let’s kick things off with ITU favorite Salomé Dos Santos aka Blu Samu. Her smooth flow & soulful voice are a pleasure for the ear. This Antwerp-raised, Brussels-based artist has been making a lot of noise this year and made quite the impression when she released her latest single Sade Blu. Blu Samu is slated to drop her debut EP on June 29.

TRILLERS STAGE | 18.45 – 19.15

Antwerp-based rapper DVTCH NORRIS recently released his debut EP ‘I’m Sad, I Wanna Make It’ on which he proves he’s one of Belgium’s best lyricists. If you’ve ever been to one of his perfomances, you know that this guy is a beast when he gets on stage so you’ll definitely want to check that out.

TRILLERS STAGE | 15.30 – 16.15

TheColorGrey has been very busy the last few years. The 22-year-old rapper/singer/producer released four projects in just two years and has been very consisent with releasing quality music. This Antwerp-based artist is a born storyteller and his perfomances are always on ten.

TRILLERS STAGE | 14.30 – 15.00

Mechelen’s own Soul’Art has been in the game for a minute. In 2017 they signed a deal with renowned Dutch label Top Notch. & released their Granny’s Res EP.

TRILLERS STAGE | 17.15 – 17.45

Most people know K1D as Woodie Smalls‘ sidekick but those familiar with the Belgian hip hop scene know better than that. The young Sint-Niklaas native is without a doubt an incredibly talented emcee with a flow & natural stage presence that’ll get you bopping your head in no time.

Fire Is Gold will take place on Saturday, June 23 in Vilvoorde. Get your tickets here.
