Before picking up his ‘For What It’s Worth’ tour, TheColorGrey has released a video for standout track ‘Jamaica’. Playing with the island’s iconic yellow, green, and black coding, TheColorGrey bills the video as “all about renaissance, the past, and the future…” the Antwerp-based rapper explains to Clash Magazine.
“For some, Jamaica is all about yellow, green and black. Rasta and dreadlocks. For us however, it’s all about renaissance, the past, and the future. A surreal and anachronistic place. The video is a reflection of that. We recreated the past with our fantasy. The story is a metaphor for ‘taking what’s ours’ and a warning that the ‘Powers that be’ never can rest too comfortably. We’re coming for what’s ours.”
