A Look Inside The Making Of Nas’ “Time Is Illmatic” Documentary

Back in April, filmmakers Erik Parker and One9 celebrated the premiere of their documentary Time Is Illmatic at the Tribeca film festival. The film, which was released the same week as Nas‘s Illmatic 20th anniversary, documents the cultural impact the album has had and the creative process undertaken in its creation. Today, we are offered an inside look at the filmmakers and the ten-year journey taken to produce their documentary. Released by Hennessy, the video describes the duo’s association with Nas’s music, the events leading up to the making of the film and Nas’s involvement in the project. Check it out below and get the documentary on Amazon for only $13 USD (€10).
