J. Cole Delivers Emotional ‘Be Free’ Performance On David Letterman

To promote his new album, 2014 Forest Hills Drive, J. Cole made his way to the David Letterman Show Wednesday night and took the stage as the evenings musical guest. However, he did not perform a song from his just-released third album, but Be Free, an emotional rap track that he released last August as a tribute to Ferguson’s killed 18-year-old Michael Brown. He also added another emotional verse to the song, which talked about President Obama and his failed promise of change. Check out the powerful performance below.
