Can you recall the last time you’ve had this much time on your hands? At times you might feel bored & uninspired. In our new series ‘Confined With’ we’ll be asking some of our favorite creatives how much they’re doing & what they’re listening to, reading, watching & streaming during lockdown season. Today we talk to Vilvoorde-based singer Armelle Mintona aka Nanakill.
Hey Armelle, how are you coping with the situation?
I’m not going to lie, it’s an annoying situation for me. Some things are postponed so it’s slowing me down a little. On the other hand, it gives me time to think about new creative ways to express myself and challenge myself a little more.
Does the confinement have any silver linings for you?
I’m home so I have to find new ways to keep my brain stimulated. The silver lining is that I’m learning how to develop better habits and sticking to them. I hope that after the confinement, I will be better at making the most of my time. For instance I try to have a writing & work out schedule but also sing an hour a day, things like that. I think creating some kind of routine really works for me.
What’s the first thing you’ll do when all this is over?
Besides the obvious, which would be seeing my friends and family, I am hoping to set in motion everything that was postponed. I have some really nice things planned and I’m hoping to share all of it with the world as soon a possible. I would also love to start travelling again whenever it’s safe again.
